Are you a keen airsoft participant? Well, you will be aware that the most popular type of gun used are those such as the assault rifles – AK47, M16 and the M4 for example. No problem, if thats your thing, then no problem if you want high volume fire power then this one of these is going to be the right choice for you. However, there are other possibilities that must be considered too.

What if you are a “one shot to kill” sort of guy. How then is an assault rifle going to do it for you? Its all well and good to go shooting off 100 bbs at your opponent but if you want to go for that one deadly shot you need to get yourself a sniper rifle. This adds a totally new dimension to the airsoft game.

Sniper rifles in airsoft are indeed made and designed to look very much like the real thing. The Super 9 for example is based upon a Belgian police rifle or a swat team rifle if you like. It has bolt action and also a magazine feed cartridge in some models where the shell casing ejects after each shot.

The only negative about these sort of rifles is they do tend to be somewhat heavy and a bit bulky, but then do you want to be running around with your rifle or would you prefer to be lying in wait in the undergrowth, quietly waiting for your moment to strike?

These type of airsoft rifles are not gas powered or electrically powered. They are spring powered, thus they are very quiet offering you a great advantage. A bolt-action airsoft rifle as already mentioned, just helps to add to the feeling of authenticity to the adventure.
